- a unique network address that identifies a device on the internet or local network.

- are individuals employed by Almost Read and individuals who have entered into a contract with Almost Read to act on our behalf.

- a small amount of data generated by a website and stored by your web browser. It is used to identify your browser, provide analytics, remember information about you such as your language preferences or login details.
Company (Almost Read, "we", "us", "we", "us", "our", etc.)
- the owner of the Service, providing its functioning and access to it, namely Limited Liability Company "Cookie Agency", registered on 26.01.2024 in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs under No. 193739886, location: the Republic of Belarus, 220062, Minsk, 135 Pobediteley Ave. 660, which acts as an operator of your personal data, as it independently decides for what purposes they are needed, chooses services and tools for their processing.
Personnel
- persons who work for Almost Read or have a contract to provide services on behalf of one of the parties.
User (you)
- any person who has access to the Platform, via the Internet and uses the Platform, whether or not having registered a user profile in the Service, but who interacts with the Company by using Site, Almost Read Application, communication by phone, email, messengers or social networks.
Almost Read Application
- is software designed to run on Devices, enabling the User to use a wide range of Platform Services.
Device
- any device connected to the Internet, such as a phone, tablet, computer or any other device that can be used to visit the Platform and/or use the Almost Read Services.
Platform
- a set of intellectual property objects united by a common purpose, including, but not limited to, the Almost Read computer program accessed through the Site interface, as well as the Almost Read application.
User Agreement (Terms of Use)
- is a user agreement of the Platform and (or) a public contract for the provision of services by the Company, published on the Platform itself.
Personal Data
- any information, data or information that allows to identify the User's identity, which the User provides to the Company by himself/herself.
Website
- a set of software and technical means providing publication of information and data, united by a common purpose, through technical means of communication in the Internet, in accordance with the Terms of Use, posted on the site available on the Internet at https://almostread.com and its subdomains, where the processing of personal data of Users is carried out for the purposes specified in this Privacy Policy.
Service
- a functionality or a set of tools provided to the User to perform various actions and other functionalities explicitly available to the User on the Platform.
Country
- the country where Almost Read or the owners/founders of Almost Read are based - the Republic of Belarus.
Third Party Service
- persons providing content, products or services, including advertisers, sponsors, partners and other participants that may be of interest to Users.
Subject of personal data
- a natural person - a User of the Platform in respect of whom personal data processing is carried out.
Terms and definitions used in this Agreement in the singular may also be used in the plural and vice versa.

This Privacy Policy may use terms that are not defined in this section. In such case the interpretation of such term shall be made in accordance with the text of this Privacy Policy. In case of absence of unambiguous interpretation of the term in the text of this privacy policy it is necessary to be guided by the interpretation of the term defined: first of all - by the Law of the Republic of Belarus dated 07.05.2021 № 99-З "On personal data protection" (hereinafter - the Law on personal data) and the legislation of the Republic of Belarus, secondly - by the established (commonly used) in the Internet.
SUBJECT OF THE PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy is developed in accordance with the Law on Personal Data and defines the procedure for the use and processing of personal data, as well as measures to ensure the security of personal data taken by Almost Read.

The Privacy Policy explains to the Personal Data Subjects how and for what purposes their Personal Data is collected, used or otherwise processed, as well as reflects the rights of the Personal Data Subjects in this regard and the mechanism for their realization.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, the information that Almost Read may obtain about the User means Personal Data that the User provides about himself/herself when using and/or registering on the Platform, identifying the User on the Platform, making a request through e-mail messages, messenger messages and/or Almost Read's social networks, contacting us through a feedback form or in connection with any other process of using the Platform or Almost Read's information channels.

We collect information about you when you visit our Platform, register on the Platform, subscribe to our newsletter, respond to a survey, or fill out a form.

We also collect information from mobile devices for a better user experience, although these features are completely optional:
  • Camera (Images): Granting camera permissions allows the user to upload any image directly from the app, you can safely deny camera permissions for this app.
  • Photo Gallery (Images): Granting photo gallery access allows the user to upload any image from their photo gallery, you can safely deny photo gallery access for this app.

Almost Read will collect User data necessary to provide services to you as our customers.

You may voluntarily provide us with information that they have posted on their social media accounts. If you provide us with such information, we may collect publicly available information from the social media accounts you specify. You can control how much of your information social media sites make publicly available by visiting those websites and changing your privacy settings.

The Policy does not apply to the processing of Personal Data in the course of employment and in the course of employment.

The basis for the processing of Personal Data is your consent, except in cases where the processing of Personal Data is carried out without obtaining such consent in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Belarus.

Your consent to the processing of personal data may be withdrawn at any time by sending a corresponding application to Almost Read to the e-mail address: hello@almostread.com with the subject line "Withdrawal of consent to the processing of personal data".

Personal Data shall be stored no longer than required for the purposes of personal data processing, except in cases when a certain period of data storage is established by the legislation of the Republic of Belarus.
Almost Read processes only those Personal Data that are necessary for the fulfillment of the stated purposes and does not allow their excessive processing.

When processing personal data, Almost Read is guided by the following principles:
  • Transparency (processing is carried out in such a way that Users understand why and how Almost Read uses Personal Data);
  • Lawfulness (processing of Personal Data is carried out only if there are legal grounds to do so);
  • Proportionality (Almost Read collects only the minimum necessary Personal Data, the content and scope of which must correspond to the original purposes of processing);
  • Restriction of processing (Personal Data is collected only for certain purposes and may not be processed for other purposes, data retention period is also limited to the original purpose);
  • Fairness (Almost Read processes Personal Data where this is proportionate to the purposes of the processing and ensures that the interests of all concerned are fairly balanced in the processing);
  • Accuracy (Personal Data must be corrected, clarified and updated in a timely manner to ensure that it is accurate);
  • Integrity and confidentiality (Almost Read takes organizational, legal and technical measures to protect personal data).

Almost Read takes the necessary legal, organizational and technical measures to ensure the security of Personal Data to protect it from unauthorized (including accidental) access, destruction, alteration, blocking of access and other unauthorized actions. Such measures include, in particular:
  • Appointing a person responsible for exercising internal control over the processing of Personal Data;
  • Familiarization of Almost Read employees and other persons directly involved in the processing of Personal Data with the provisions of the Personal Data legislation, including the requirements for the protection of Personal Data;
  • Issuing local acts on the processing of personal data and familiarizing employees with them;
  • Limitation and delimitation of access of employees and other persons to Personal Data and means of processing, monitoring of actions with Personal Data;
  • Application of security means (anti-virus means, means of protection against unauthorized access, etc.);
  • Exercising internal control over compliance with the established procedure, checking the effectiveness of the measures taken, responding to incidents.

The processing of your Personal Data is terminated from the moment of:
  • Achievement of the purposes of the processing of Personal Data;
  • Expiration of the period of processing of Personal Data;
  • Your withdrawal of consent to the processing of Personal Data;
  • Detection of unlawful processing of Personal Data.

Withdraw the provided consent to the processing of personal data
The right to withdraw consent at any time, if consent is the legal basis for the processing of personal data.
When exercising this right, no reasons need to be given.
This will not affect the lawfulness of the processing of personal data based on the consent until the moment of its withdrawal.
Within 15 calendar days after receipt of the application in accordance with its content, cease processing of personal data, delete them and notify the applicant, unless there are other grounds for such actions with personal data, provided by the legislation of the Republic of Belarus.

  • Confirmation of the fact of personal data processing by Almost Read (by an authorized person);
  • Personal data and the source of their receipt
  • Legal grounds and purposes of personal data processing;
  • The period for which the consent to the processing of personal data has been given;
  • Name and location of the authorized person to whom the personal data processing is entrusted.
Within 5 working days after receiving the application (unless another term is established by the legislation of the Republic of Belarus), the requested information or a notice on the reasons for refusal to provide it shall be provided in an accessible form.

Demand termination of personal data processing and (or) deletion of personal data

Within 15 calendar days after receipt of the application, Almost Read shall cease processing of personal data, as well as perform their deletion (including by an authorized person), and notify Almost Read within the same period of time, except for cases when Almost Read has the right to continue processing of personal data if there are grounds provided for by the legislation of the Republic of Belarus.
To appeal against actions (inaction) and decisions of Almost Read related to the processing of personal data
The right to lodge a complaint with an authorized body if there are grounds to believe that the processing of personal data violates the law or the rights of the personal data subject.
The complaint shall be submitted to the National Center for Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Belarus in electronic or written form. The term of complaint examination is 1 month from the day following the day of its registration. The appeal procedure is established by the Regulation of the National Center for Personal Data Protection.
MECHANISM OF EXERCISING THE RIGHTS OF PERSONAL DATA SUBJECTS
To exercise its rights related to the processing of Personal Data by Almost Read, the User submits to Almost Read an application in writing to the address: Republic of Belarus, 220062, Minsk, Pobediteley Avenue, 135, room 660. 660.

The application for withdrawal of consent may be sent by sending a message to the e-mail address hello@almostread.com.

The application must contain:
  • Surname, first name, patronymic (if any);
  • Address of residence (place of stay)
  • Date of birth;
  • Identification number of the natural person, in case of absence thereof - number of the identity document, if this information was indicated by the natural person when giving his/her consent to Almost Read or personal data processing is performed without the natural person's consent;
  • A statement of the essence of the requirements
  • Personal signature or electronic digital signature of the natural person.

Upon receipt of the application, Almost Read will review it and provide a written response no later than 15 (fifteen) calendar days (5 (five) working days when requesting information on the processing of personal data).

The response to the application is sent to the personal data subject in the form corresponding to the application form, unless otherwise specified in the application itself.

Almost Read does not consider applications of personal data subjects sent by other means (telephone, messages in messengers and (or) social networks, etc.).

The User may contact the person responsible for the processing of personal data at Almost Read by e-mail: hello@almostread.com for assistance in exercising rights and for any additional information.
TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA
In cases where the processing of personal data involves the provision of personal data, Almost Read indicates the specific conditions under which such action is possible.

Personal data is not transferred to third parties, except in the following cases:
  • The user has expressed consent to such action;
  • The transfer is necessary for the purposes of contract fulfillment (Platform operation);
  • When Almost Read has reason to believe that it is obliged to do so due to the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Belarus (for example, at the request of state authorities).

Almost Read engages authorized persons to process Personal Data for technical support of the functioning of the following information systems: Website, Almost Read Application, email, messenger (Instagram Direct Messenger, Telegram, etc.), Almost Read's information channels and social networks (Instagram, etc.).
Almost Read, if necessary to achieve the purposes of processing, may transfer personal data to third parties, for the purposes specified by Almost Read in accordance with this Privacy Policy, subject to the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Belarus.

Almost Read will not disclose or distribute Personal Data to third parties without your consent, unless otherwise provided for by the legislation of the Republic of Belarus.

If necessary to achieve the purposes of processing specified in this Policy, we have the right to transfer the data to third parties in compliance with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Belarus.

INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFER: POSSIBLE CONDITIONS
Our company is registered in the Republic of Belarus. Information collected through our service, including data collected through direct interaction or through referral services, may be transferred to our employees or third parties located around the world.

Almost Read carries out cross-border transfers of personal data collected on the basis of your consent to the processing of personal data.

Cross-border data transfers are necessary to support the operation of the Platform.

Cross-border data transfer may be carried out by us, including for the purposes of management accounting, use by the organization of third party services (advertising, accounting, legal, consulting and other), including advertising services of social networks and providers such as Facebook, Instagram, and other services, with possible transfer and granting them access to personal data collected through websites, online resources and services (by), including: Facebook (www.facebook.com, Facebook, Inc. 1601 Willow Rd. The cross-border transfer of personal data may take place through the use of Google services (GoogleG Analytics (analytics.google.com), Firebase Services (firebase.google.com) (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043), Telegram (30 Euston Square, Kings Cross, London NW1 2FB) necessary for the operation of the website and application.

Almost Read does not know with certainty which country the servers of Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, Google Analytics and Firebase Services are located in and therefore notifies you that cross-border data transfer may take place to a country with an inadequate degree of personal data protection, which may be accompanied by the following risks:
  • The lack of legislative regulation of the protection of the rights of personal data subjects, the unenforceability of decisions of competent authorities, cannot guarantee the safe use and storage of your personal data in the territory of such states;
  • Absence of an independent supervisory authority for the protection of the rights of personal data subjects, limited range of rights of personal data subjects increases the probability of personal data leakage and may entail the impossibility to protect your rights in case of such leakage;
  • Limited range of rights of personal data subjects;
  • Broad access to personal data by public authorities for national security purposes cannot guarantee the confidentiality of your personal data.
When using the "Yandex.Metrica" service, cross-border transfer to the territory of the Russian Federation takes place, as the servers of Yandex services are located on the territory of the Russian Federation. The Russian Federation is included in the list of countries where the appropriate level of protection of the rights of personal data subjects is ensured (established by the order of the Director of the National Center for Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Belarus from 15.11.2021 № 14).
LINKS TO OTHER RESOURCES
This Privacy Policy applies solely to the Platform. As part of its use, it may contain links to third-party web resources that are not owned or controlled by the Company. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy of information or opinions expressed on these resources, nor do we monitor their relevance and completeness.

Clicking on a link to an external site terminates our Privacy Policy. Interactions with such web resources, including those linked to our services, are governed by their own privacy policies and rules.

SECURITY OF INFORMATION COLLECTED BY THE SERVICE

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Almost Read understands the importance of protecting the Personal Information of minor children and for this reason we do not knowingly collect information, including personal information, from children or others who may be using our site and services lawfully.

Our site and services are not intended for minor children (minors under the age of 14). If we learn that we have received personal data from a child under the age of fourteen (14), we will delete it immediately, unless we are required by law to retain such data.

We process personal data of minors between the ages of 14 and 18 only on the basis of the consent of such minors and their parents or other legal guardians.

If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data without your permission, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from a person under the age of 18 without confirming parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.

We reserve the right to make changes to the Platform and applicable policies and to adjust this Privacy Policy to keep it up to date and consistent with the services provided.

In cases that do not require statutory notice, we will inform Users in advance (e.g., through the Platform) of upcoming changes and provide an opportunity to review them before they take effect.

TRACKING TECHNOLOGY
Cookies
Cookies are used to ensure optimal performance and enhanced functionality of the platform. Their use is not mandatory, but disabling cookies may result in restricted access to certain features, such as video playback. In addition, you will have to re-enter your login information each time you visit the platform, as the system will not be able to identify your previous authorization.

Almost Read takes the necessary measures to ensure compliance with GDPR requirements regarding the protection of personal data. We process and store data exclusively with certified DPA compliant suppliers.

Personal data, including conversational and personal data, is stored for 5 years unless the account has been deleted. In case of deletion, the data is processed in accordance with the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, after which it is subject to final deletion no later than 60 days.

Companies working with users from the European Union are required to provide the ability to access, update, retrieve and delete personal data. We provide this capability in a self-service format, giving users full control over their data and customer data.
